Tara L. Taylor – East Preston, NS; Festival Director – Emerging Lens Cultural Film Festival; CBC Arts & Cultural Columnist; Playwright Atlantic Resource and Women in Film & Television – Atlantic board member; Inaugural Artist in Residence for the Halifax Public Libraries; 2021 Winner of the African Nova Scotian Music Awards Industry Development Award for her body of work in presenting musical theatre and film; a Proud Mom of four; a playwright, filmmaker, multimedia artist, singer, actress.

Deryl Amenya
Sonically driven to create bespoke works of art, Deryl Amenya innately carves sound out of emotion, as a sculptor would a block of marble.
Originating from Nairobi, Kenya he showed interest at the age of 17 eventually taking up audio-production as his primary focus(2018);in Kjipuktuk (Halifax) Canada Blending sounds that emanate from a holistic resonance of the soul.
Notable works include;

Film Score
Awar Obob
Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Awar Obob (They/She) is black nova scotian-south sudanese multidisciplinary artist who specializes in music, film, and societal critique. They perform live art, plan community events, speak publicly, and produce music.
They have co-curated, co-hosted, and DJ'ed over 100 events in Ottawa, including a JUNOs listening party. They have spoken on violence against QTBIPOC on a Parliamentary Standing Committee and virtually at Sao Paulo Pride. They can also be seen acting on Diggstown, Sullivan's Crossing, 22 Minutes, KUWTK, Stage Mother, as well as other productions filmed in Halifax and Ottawa.
Their work is driven by the lack of equity within the world, the innate need for healing,and diverse community – stemmed from a background in Punk, Alternative and DIY music spaces.
